Welcome to the Chestnut Hill Community School Library Home Page

The library is open Monday - Friday 8:30 - 3:30 **Please note, the library closes at 3 during the weeks the librarian has bus duty.
.

Library Classes: We will have library class every other week. During our library time, you will be able to take out up to two books, renew items and have lessons on how to use the library, search for books on our catalog, information gathering skills, research, note taking, avoiding plagiarism, exploration of genres in literature, and you will also enjoy some free reading time.

Policies: Books and audiobooks circulate for 2 weeks. They may be renewed once, unless someone else is waiting for the item. If you damage or lose an item, you must pay to replace it.
No food or drink is allowed in the library please.

Technology Classes: On the alternate weeks we will have classes using our desktop computers in our lab area. We will begin the year with keyboarding skills and move on to Internet safety, Google Slides/Sheets, copyright and much more!

Box Top Winners
Congratulations to Mrs. Dupras's fourth grade class (252 box tops), Ms. Madden's fifth grade class (343 box tops), and Mr. Berg's sixth grade class (142 box tops).  Our grand total for all classes combined was 1,966 box tops!  That's 282 more box tops than we collected during the summer.  I recently used box tops money to buy books about presidents and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Please keep clipping box tops.  The deadline for the Winter contest is February 28.  Many thanks to everyone who sends box tops in to support the library!  A special thank you goes to Mary Ann Derouin who coordinates the box top program!
